Engineering Services
Our Engineering Services facility situated near Carletonville provides specialized focused services to internal and external clients in the fields of scarce underground mining and construction skills and in certain circumstances plant and equipment.
Our workshops carry out plant and equipment repairs and rebuilds, linking with the Murray & Roberts Training Academy, for the further development of hands on artisan and technical skills.
We are able to field highly specialized teams to carry out mini projects with a legacy in:
- Hoist rope installations and remedial rope repairs
- Complex surface to underground rigging
- Hoisting shaft repairs
- Installation of underground structures such as tips and conveyors
- Underground dewatering
- Dynamic winder testing
- TMM troubleshooting
- TMM rebuilds
- Digitization field support and network installations
All work is carried out with QA/QC planning and oversight and in accordance with our ISO certifications. Our strong balance sheet gives comfort to clients that delivery will not be risked through cash constraints. Projects are managed in accordance with company PMBOK approaches.
Engineering Services is also the custodian of the company transport fleet, strategic winder, compressor, fixed plant assets, shaft sinking and TMM mining equipment used on our projects, operating on a commercial rental basis.
